Michelle was in the Backyard Bang, here is a little rundown…
The setup was really impressive. I had fun boardsliding on the boxes and challenging myself on the kink rail. A lot of my roommates from Mt.Hood this summer came out for it and it was fun to compete against them. The boys were killing it and the girls were pushing each other to try harder tricks. It was very cool that the contest was able to be right in the middle of Denver, this allowed many spectators who normally don’t get to watch snowboarding contests experience the action. This contest has made me excited for the Campus Rail Jam Tour which will be coming to my school in a few months. -Michelle
I put together a short edit of some shots from a snowstorm that passed through Colorado last week. I’m working on a longer early season edit, but thought a little sneak peak would be cool.

Nick Ennen had a great year at Stevens Pass riding the park and taking it to the backcountry. He talks about some of the highlights of the season riding with the How the Northwest Was One crew.
Shot of Max from the Backyard Bang in Portland on Halloween. He made finals, which was awesome. There were maybe 45 guys or so, and they took 10 to finals. But it’s all good, it was a super fun event with good features and a fun vibe.
Think snow!
