Ayla Thidling Dominates New Zealand Nationals!

Ayla just spent the summer training in NZ and she wrapped up her training with the NZ Nationals where she won Boardercross, Halfpipe and Slopestyle.  She’s been riding her B-Mini and she loves it!  Thanks Ayla for putting our B-Mini to the test and making it look so good!

I had a fantastic time in New Zealand! Both Cardrona and Snowparks are great to ride. The coaches and team mates were really good and we had a lot of fun together! I got a lot of time on rails and boxes which is good as that is what I’ve done the least, and also quite a bit in the pipe which was great. We had a lot of windy and snowy weather which made it difficult for me to ride the kickers as I’m so light and often couldn’t get enough speed, but I still got a lot of base training on them so I’m ready to move on to bigger spins when I get back home!

The NZ nationals went really well and I won Boardercross, Halfpipe and Slopestyle and came third in giant slalom. Those results also made me win my category. I can’t actually call myself an NZ champion as I’m not a New Zealander, but I was still stoked to get 1st!  Time went so quickly in NZ, I wished I could have stayed longer, but luckily the winter in Europe starts soon. I can’t wait for the season to start!
