In this episode of “Weird and Bitchin’”, Gnu and Lib Tech riders head over to Lib Tech’s Holy Bowly in Tenjin, Japan. One of the best snowboard sessions ever proceeded. It was all smiles, high fives and international stoke. This video shows a little bit of the awesome-ness that was the Holy Bowly; featuring Forest Bailey, Ted Borland, Jamie Lynn, Blake Paul, Jesse Burtner and friends. As event mastermind Krush Kulesza says “Gas up the van, wax your board and I’ll look for you in the line-up next year!”

“Weird and Bitchin’” is a series, by Mervin Mfg. featuring the exploits of the Lib Tech and Gnu teams and extended family. Just like the boards “Weird and Bitchin’” is made in the USA by snowboarders with jobs.

Monster Energy presents Grenade Games 9 at Mammoth Mountain — April 27-28, 2013

Mission Grenade Games 9 seeks to radically advance snowboarding and partying (nothing else really matters, does it?) in and around Mammoth Lakes, California to the absolute benefit of nobody or anything. Mission control dictates we, and anybody associated or within screaming distance of us, shred, party our brains out and get WAY out of this world.

“Finding yourself going up so high, without even strapping on your bindings, is a supernatural sensation,” philosophizes the universally admired loose screw known as The Dingo. “Shit, man, reaching for the stars is just great, but it really all comes down to living large, laughing in the face of death and shredding and partying. Yeah, it’s a mission — a mission extremely out of control!”

Grenade Games 9 brings together the world’s leading “Brain Trust” in snowboarding, partying, and waking up on the floor. Do whatever you gotta do to make it to Mammoth Mountain and be a part of extra terrestrial history at the 9th annual Grenade Games. The Monster 9 Lives Slopestyle? The Zumiez Handplant Park—winners receive a trip to Jamaica?

FREE LIVE SHOW BY NOFX!?

It will be a record setting event and one that promises to make you see stars.

Gnu Girls hosted a camp at Woodward Copper last month and it was a huge success. Dozens of girls benefited from Woodward’s training facilities in the barn and on the snow. New tricks were learned, new friends were made, and a couple girls walked away with new Gnu snowboards! Thanks to Meg Pugh, Sandra Hillen, and Mark Kelsic for being the coaches, motivators, and for capturing the action for us. Look for another Gnu session at Woodward at Copper this summer!
