GNU GIRLS UPDATES

4.7.10 7:51 AM

Michelle Zeller finished this season at #24 on the TTR ranking list, she is stoked! She left the chicken Jam and headed straight to the Queens cup last weekend where she finished 2nd.

The season is far from over for her, it’s a busy spring in Colorado, but Michelle is doing really well at all her events and having lots of fun, guaranteed. Next on her schedule… Alt Games and Spring Massive at her home mountain in Breck.
Congratulations Michelle!

ALSO, Caty Oconnor
Caty has had an amazing season. Besides being a regular highschool student, she’s placed top 10 at two nor-ams in Tahoe and two Revolution Tour stops for boardercross. In Slopestyle she got 7th at the Copper Revolution tour event, 3rd at Boreal and then 1st at the Mt Hood, winning the Revolution tour women’s slopestyle overall! The season just got better and better for Caty, after her win at Hood she learned that she has qualified for Junior Worlds and is going to New Zealand this summer, she’s stoked!

Oh, and because Caty is such a solid overall rider, she competed racing gates for her highschool state championships last month in Mt Shasta and won! If Caty ever shows up at the Banked Slalom, my guess is that she will easily be a top contender for some duct tape!
Congratulations Caty!

Michelle Zeller 2nd in Slopestyle at Northstar!

2.25.10 2:58 PM

Michelle is bringing home the money, she just got second in a AM Series slopestyle event at Northstar, Good Job Zeller!

“It was a big field of 19 ladies and I qualified 6th for finals. It started snowing before finals which slowed down the course but I managed to put down a solid second run to take home 2nd place and $500! Here is an article on snowboardermag.com. I am also confirmed for U.S. open and am stoked to compete in it again this season!”~MZ

Check out some footage of her at Breckenridge.

Michelle Zeller @ Backyard Bang

11.23.09 8:46 PM

Michelle was in the Backyard Bang, here is a little rundown…
Backyard-Bang-Denver-54

The setup was really impressive. I had fun boardsliding on the boxes and challenging myself on the kink rail. A lot of my roommates from Mt.Hood this summer came out for it and it was fun to compete against them. The boys were killing it and the girls were pushing each other to try harder tricks. It was very cool that the contest was able to be right in the middle of Denver, this allowed many spectators who normally don’t get to watch snowboarding contests experience the action. This contest has made me excited for the Campus Rail Jam Tour which will be coming to my school in a few months. -Michelle

p.s. the pic is of me and my friend jordie at the asian open. I'm wearing my bib :)
Update from regional Colorado rider, Michelle Alisa Zeller…

I just got back from Japan from the Asian Open and received the new board you sent me! Thank you sooo much! I did really well at Asian Open in slopestyle I got 13th out of 40 in qualifiers but missed semi-finals since they only took top 10 :/ But on the bright side now I am ranked number 28 on the TTR World Tour! Also I took 1st place in a USASA slopestyle before I left at Copper. I will be competing in U.S. Open next week and then Roxy Chicken Jam. I am stoked to ride the new board in these upcoming contests.
Thanks again! ~Michelle
