Adam Haynes: Adam might not consider himself an airbrush specialist but he is on fire with this one. It's romantic, mysterious, and exciting like our favorite bodice ripper novels.
Board Tech
Handbuilt in the USA
Every Gnu is handmade by snowboarders with jobs in the USA.
C2 BTX
C2 Floats the pow, kills the jumps and steeps and has the pop and tip to tail stability to stomp whatever you launch. Banana Tech Rocker between your feet, camber at the tips and tails. The perfect solution for aggressive power snowboarding.
Karakoram
Karakoram Splitboard Clips optimize the performance of your splitboard. They firmly secure the splitboard halves together, eliminating slop in the seam. Say goodbye to tip and tail rattling forever – your splitboard will ride as a normal snowboard in all conditions.
Board Clips – Patent Pending custom latch system firmly secures splitboard together providing the tightest board seam possible.
Tip and Tail Clip - Made from Dupont Zytel ST for increased rigidity and durability to reduce unwanted tip and tail clip disconnections.
Sintered Base
Compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. Slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions.
Magne-Traction
“Turns ice into powder”
Serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain especially on hard pack and blue ice!
Bio Beans Topsheet
GNU has made a commitment to using a new earth friendly, bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any top sheet in the industry. While there is clearly still the need to invade small, helpless, oil producing countries for money and power, this new age of bio-plastics offers hope of a more peaceful and fruity future!
LCP – Liquid Crystal Polymer
Liquid crystallinity is achieved through the heating of a polymer past its melting point, during the cooling phase polymers form highly organized linearly aligned self- reinforcing structures resulting in incredible mechanical properties. Strength, chemical and fire resistance. Strength in a fiber allows us to use less material to achieve the desired physical performance translating into a lighter weight composite. LCP also has a very low vibration frequency and with 10 times the strength of titanium LCP was used as the foundation for interplanetary Mars lander tires. Built into a Gnu snowboard these strong light, damp aramid polyester fibers quiet chatter from rough terrain and create an incredibly smooth, poppy, lightweight ride.
True Twin Geometries
Twin (equal length and equal width) tip and tails combined with a centered radial sidecut. Rides equally well in both directions with a focus on freestyle. Park, powder, pipe: perfect.
Mervin AG2 Sustainable Woodcore
MERVIN AG2 SUSTAINABLE WOODCORE: ASPEN / ALT. GENETICS / EISS 9
- Lighter / Stronger. A perfect combination of Aspen, even more ultra lightweight genetically altered wood core and EISS 9. Perfect for freestyle domination.
Wood Core Weirdness!
The world’s fastest growing trees in the Gnu Eco Timber farm benefited from a combination of moist evenings, diffused daylight sunshine and being on the north American avian flyway…abundant natural nitrogen from goose and duck droppings resulted in a exceptional harvest of long fibered lightweight poppy woods that we call “nature’s fiberglass”. This very exceptional crop has been carefully seasoned and built into cores and is the light poppy center of our Gnu Snowboards.

These split boards share the same tech as the B-pro, one of the top selling women's boards of all time. Split boards aren't just for big mountain hippies anymore! The B-pro splits truly open up a world of adventure and magic to riders of all backgrounds and abilities. I finally got to put a Gnu girls team trip together and squeeze all the activities that I love to do into one week in my home area. We did an S4 trip on the Olympic Peninsula, in Mervin's backyard. Snowboarder Mag will do a better job of telling the story but it was one of those weeks that came together even better than I imagined. Powder to ride, B-Pro splits to access the goods, sunshine to light up the mountain, waves to wake up to, and a fun motivated crew to ride, surf, skate and spa with. -Barrett Christy
“The B- Pro Split has changed the way I experience the amazing back country terrain where I live. It's faster, lighter weight, and smoother than my old set up. It is quick and easy to change from splitting to snowboarding and accessing the “top of the world” is now so much more fun!” -Maribeth Swetkoff-Kramer
“This year was my first time on my majestic split board and it was amazing. It completely opened up a new side of snowboarding for me!” -Kaitlyn Farrington
“My experiences with split boarding in the past were less than enjoyable. But then I tried the Gnu womens split board and it was soooooo much easier. It was so fun and addicting, I didnt want to stop.” -Danyale Patterson
“I love my B-Pro split board because it is light on the way up and rides like a regular B-Pro snowboard on the way down.” -Maria DeBari
