Hi im looking for the space case for park use and allmtn use im 200lb 6.1″
Which size to pick 156or 159
    Thx

  • Gnu

    I’m thinkin the 159.
But before I give you an answer–What size are your boots?!

  • JFill

How does this board do in the powder? I love the park side aspect but can you use it on powder days too?

  • keak

The ec2 btx is an awesome board profile for riding powder! If your still hesitant, size up a few cm than you would normally ride and slay both the park and the deep stuff.

  • Mayan

    The boots size are 10.5
    And I’m riding 80% park
    Thx

  • DK

Hi.. I´m going to buy a Space Case. The use would be park/all mountain and I’m 154 lbs and 5.9″. What size should I get?

  • Gnu

If you’re spending way more time in the park than the rest of the hill, then the 156 will definitely be more suitable!
But it will be more of a challenge to stay afloat in deeper snow.

  • SK

I’m riding an old riders choice 154.4 , the first year with mag and thinking of upgrading. I’m a size 9 boot and about 165lb. I spend my time at Mountain Creek in the park and slashing around. I get a few trips in to VT every year but don’t see a lot of deeper stuff. Should I go 151.5 or 154.5?

  • Daburai609

Coming from another NJ shredder, this board is the tits. I rode NJ, PA, and UT on it last season. I’d say go for the 154 since it’s light as hell anyway and it’ll hold an edge better for when you’re slashing around.

  • Jaxon

Hey guys, I’m looking to buy the space case but unsure what bindings to pair with it and what size board to get. I ride a lot of park but still ride all mountain and take on the pow. Im 5’11 and 160 lbs. 153 or 156?

  • Gnu

    Hi Jaxon,
I’d go for the 156 it’ll be stable for all mountain shredding, but still maneuverable and light in the park. I would recommend pairing this board with our Psych bindings, or any other bindings with a soft to medium flex that fit your boots and feel comfy.

  • Santi

Im 176 lbs 6.2 size 11 (Nike boots) will the 156 work for me? Looking for a freestyle medium size board, I am mainly concerned in the width of the board with my shoe size.

  • Gabe

I’m basically the same height and wear the nike vapen boots size 11, and ride the 156. I have my binding angles at -15/+15, and have had no issues with the width of the board. At 25.5, its wide enough that there should be no issues. Hope this helps!

  • thomas.d

SICK BOARD!!! CAN I HAVE A FREE SIGNED FOREST BAILEY?!!?! (wishing)….. 159 with most flex eh?

  • nick garcia

hello guys. im looking to buy a space case but im a little short on money right now. if i could have like a pro form or some sort of discount that would be so awesome cause i can even describe how much i want this snowboard. if i was making more cash then i would buy it in a heart beat but im a snowboard insrtuctor and that dosnt even pay us in money lol. so please i know your probably gonna look over this but please this would mean so much to me if i could just have some help. • Ollie

    I am 5″8 145lbs, what size shud I choose?

  • Ollie

  • Joshua

i wear size 11 boots will a 156 be wide enough all i do is ride park and am jonzing to try a asym board
For real though will you guys make a 156W or something for us bigfoots?

  • keak

you should be fine with a 156. i ride the lib trs 157(waist width 25.3) with size 11 boots and dont get any toe drag.

good luck. this board looks sick!

  • gabe

this board looks soo prime! ill split one with you?

  • Kirill

    Hi !

My weight 154lbs and shoes size US9,5. I will only ride in the park.

Help please choose the size SPACE CASE, which is optimal for me – 153 or 156?

    Thank you very much.

  • Gnu

Hi! The 153 will be PRIME.

  • Gnu

I think you will be most happy with the 150

  • Gnu

If you plan to spend more time in the park, 153. If you plan to spend more time pow hunting, 156.

  • Gnu

    Keak’s right…EC2 is easy everywhere!

  • Gnu

We’d love to give out free boards…but we are not able to do things like that.

    Go support your local shop!

  • Kirill

    Thank you ))

  • A Pen

I have a TRS 157 for all mountain and was thinking of snagging the Space Case for freestyle. I’m 5″10, 205lbs (does BF% matter in calculating weight range restrictions?) with size 11 boot. So should I be aiming for the 153 or 156 here? Thanks yo.

  • Gnu

    I’d probably recommend the 156, the 153 will have a softer flex and more narrow waist width than the 156, so iit might not feel like enough board for you.;

  • Buzzzz

Hey I’m looking at the space case 150/153 and im 5’8, 134lbs, i know this board kills in any park throughout the world but atm I probably do most of my time on groomed snow as i’m still learning, I might turn to park in the near future(not close to anywhere with powder), so i’m wondering which of the 150 or 153 suits me better, thanks.

  • dk

what is the difference between the space case and the riders choice?

  • Gnu

Someone asked this same question on the Riders Choice page, so I’m just going to paste it here for ya:

Both the RC and the Spacecase feature variations of our C2 base contours (banana between your feet, and camber underfoot), and both boards will be awesome everywhere! The Spacecase will be a little bit more loose, playful and user-friendly because of the more mild elliptical camber. The Riders Choice will feel a bit more aggressive and powerful due to the increased camber.

If you’re aiming to charge and go fast and ride aggressively, go for the Riders Choice, and if you want something a bit more mellow and forgiving, go for the Spacecase

  • snowdoody

When u say playful do u mean it would be good for rails? My usual snow is hard packed ice, in lower MI. Thanks in advance –

  • Mike

Hi I’m 6’0 176lbs but have smaller feet. wear a size 9 boot. was thinking of the space case 156 but worried the waist width is too big. what’s your recommendation?

  • Gnubi

I’ve been snowboarding for one season and looking for a first board. Would you recommend the space case to progress on?

  • Danny

Hi, I’m currently riding 2013 Space Case 156 and looking to buy newer or riders choice.
I really love how Space Case rides except a little stiff has much less pop than riders choice.
Can you tell me any upgrades or changes in 2015 space case.

  • Gnu

    Hey!
Firstly, I’d like to say that I love puns and I love that you made your username “Gnubi”
    Secondly, YES.

The Space Case is one of our most versatile boards, it will be easy to learn on due to the EC2 base contours, but it’s definitely not a board that you will ever outgrow in terms of abilities. It’s good for absolutely any snowboarder riding anywhere on the mountain.

  • Gnu

    Hi Danny,
I don’t have a catalog from 12/13 here at our top secret headquarters, so I can’t say for sure exactly what has changed with the Space Case since then, but i believe there have only been minor tweaks to dimensions and materials, as well as mellowing at the Magne-Traction a bit. So if you’re looking to switch it up and get a board with maximum pop and a bit more camber, the Riders Choice sounds like it’s the board for you! The 154.5 will have a bit more flex than the 157.5, but the 157.5 will be bigger and thus more stable.

    Cheers,
    GNU

  • Tyler Clarke

    What’s up dudes,
Been riding the pickle for the past 4 years and now it falling apart. I’m looking for a playful board to mess around with but but still hard charging to bomb blacks and do back flips with, what would you recommend?

  • Gnu

    Tyler! Hi!
I think the Space Case will fit the bill and that you will love it.
EC2 is a killer base contour–playful, forgiving and fun but still snappy and stable.
It’ll be a blast for errrything from bombing blacks to backies.

  • Gatolino

    Hello duderinos,

Im 182cm and heigh around 65kg. Shoe size around 42. (Im european, sorry about the measures :p).
What would be the best size of Space Case for me, 153 or 156?
Usually, i ride a 157 size, but my current board is not so flex, and this i would like to change.

    Cheers

  • Gnu

    Hi!
Based on your measurements and the fact that you’re accustomed to riding a 157 that I would recommend the 156!
I think you’ll be stoked on the playful flex of the Space Case as well as the mild camber underfoot and mellow Magne-Traction…this board is awesome in absolutely any condition or terrain.

  • Lemmy from Motorhead

Hello there! Is there any chance you could lovingly hand craft a few wide width Space cases next year for us big footed fellows out there? ….that would be super.

  • Gatolino

    Hello, duderinos,

Will the space case be 100% compatible with the union contact pro 2015 binding (it has this small disk thingie).

    Cheers

  • Gnu

    YES, they’re absolutely 100% compatible!
With the exception of one board manufacturer that shall not be named, all boards/bindings are universal.

  • boardislife

hey i was thinking of buying this board in a 156 but my boot size is 11, will my feet be hanging over the edge at all?

  • Nicole

Was thinking on buying the Space Case. I’m 5’10”, 124lbs and boot size is EU39. I’m used to riding shorter boards as I prefer freestyle, but I like the occasional all mountain. Do you think the 150 Space Case would be suitable for my needs? My current board, which I’ve used for a couple of years is 148.

  • Wilderbeast

    Hi guys,
Been looking at getting a gnu space case to use as a fun all mountain freestyle type ride.6′ 1″,220lb,size uk 9 boot. Wondering what size to get,156 or 159?currently riding a capita ultrafear in 155 with no worries.looking for slightly more stability though so maybe 159?

  • Gnu

    Hey,
I think as long as your stance is ducked out (positive angle in the front, negative in the back) that you should be okay!
However, it is difficult to predict without seeing your bindings/boots/stance in person.
Your best bet is probably going to be comparing your current board’s width to this one.
