Hi guys, I just got a brand new Mullair 152 2016.
just a question. In the specs, for the 152, the stance options are 19.24″-24″
I have measured the stance option of my board and they are just the same as the bigger sizes: 20.25″-25″

are the specs on the web site wrong?

    thanks!

  • Matt

I just bought this board in a 155, I’m the same height and weight as you (5’10 & 170lbs). I rode it at Revelstoke on opening day in more than a foot of new snow, it floats like a dream and turns tight. If you want a smaller floating board it’s a great option. For big backcournty jumps and crazy steep lines you’d want a 59

  • Spenser Johnson

unless they are old boots with a larger footprint, you should have no issues with having too much overhang, given the smaller footprint of today’s boots. I think the only scenario where it could be a problem would be a pretty narrow stance with low angles on each foot, causing more overhang.

  • Spenser Johnson

totally different boards and riding feel – one is regular camber, slightly tapered, and completely directional (nose is significantly longer) and the other is virtually a twin and is rocker-dominant.

  • Spenser Johnson

they have a few. the Mullair has a tiny bit of early rise on the nose, but the camber arc is normal (not C3). the phoenix is also pretty much regular camber, and a healthy dose of it. seeing the boards in person makes you realize the profiles aren’t always as advertised.

  • Eden Lee

Are they running a bit shorter than its size? I am 150lbs and trying to decide if 155 or 159 will be better.

  • zoheir javaheri

    hi. sorry for delay
I think its totally depend on ur style of riding. longer is better for carving. but the main issue is the stand wide!!
159 have really wide stand. measure ur stand first then go for size.

  • zoheir javaheri

if u like pow and carv 159 is a deal.
    i am 198 lbs and ride 159

  • Eden Lee

Hey man, mind to share your weight? Thanks a lot!

  • Spenser Johnson

    I’m somewhere around 160 normally, I think…

I have a full review w/ video linked below, and it’s after riding the 59 for an entire season in all conditions. I had only ridden it a few days the year prior, when I made my original comment..

  • Spenser Johnson

There are wides next year -The 59 has a 260mm waist if I remember correctly..

  • Eden Leee

Thank you for your response. I am 150lbs-155lbs szie 9 boots and trying to make a decision bwtween 155 vs 159(or 159W next year). Refer to your weight, I am now pretty sold on regular 159 with 25cm waist.

  • SCHRALPER

Come on guys–I am still riding a 2008 Rider Choice because your specs dont allow me to even come close to the mange, deep sidecut, med waist and cambered amazingness of my ’08 RC. I though ok Mullair–its close—till I looked at the edge contact. 114–wTF!!!!?!? Who has such little contact–look at all your other GNUS and LIBS—anything approaching 161 has 8-10 more CM for stability!
COME ONE. I want to get a new board here. It looks like I have to leave the GNU/LIB family though for a Burton Custom or Rome that have the preferred specs. WHY CANT YOU GUYS MAKE SOMETHING AKIN TO A TOP PERFORMING DEEP SIDECUT BOARD LIKE THE CUSTOM OR ROME OR CAPITA NAS!
    ANOTHER YEAR SHAKING MY HEAD………..

  • Kalman Csandli

I totally agree. And this fancy magne traction cannot substitute the effective edge of a real camber board like the Custom from Burton.

  • RL

I mean, watch Fruition and you can see Nicolas putting down some of the all time great lines in Alaska on this thing… seems like it works fine for him. He does plenty of amazing carves around Laax too. Maybe this just isn’t the one for you, directional boards like this are meant more for deeper snow, so effective edge isn’t important. Also, I’m 6’1 190lb and my TRS 159 MW has had more than enough hold for deep carves on steep and icy stuff… Maybe since you haven’t gotten a new board in almost 10 years means you don’t realize how great edges are now, you don’t need much.

Basically, calm down and realize that maybe the greatest snowboarders and builders in the world know a thing or two more about this stuff than you and your 2008 RC

Come one SCHRALPER….. Do you even realise that this is a pro model. Its hand made for Nicolas Müller, a small guy who is about 65 kg. (140lbs) He can’t have those long contact points because the board won’t be agile enough pluss the nose is long and powder friendly. If u want something with longer contact point you should look at the Billy Goat… 120 contact point on a 159

  • Dag Kristian

The Burton Custom is together with Capita Totally F*cking Awesome is hands down the two worst boards produced after 2006 I´ve ever ridden.

Custom si completely different with these. Your comment doesn t means anything.

  • Roland Putz

this is an absolute Fun-Machine. i tested a few boards but with this board i felt like a kid again.

  • Rob

What size boots does muller wear?

  • Rob

What size boots does muller wear? Would a 9.5 be good with the waste on the 161?
