Jib Focused Twin Freestyle

The Gnu Street Series is Bananas! Skate focused urban jib Banana with Magne-Traction. Mid- wide twin freestyle shapes. Banana Tech jibs like no other. Higher ollies, deeper presses, in and out of kinky situations. If the only face shots you get happen sweeping the ledge this is your board. This board also kills the pow and everything else if you can put away the bungee long enough to score a lift ticket.

  • About the Art

Graphic by LA based artist Jay Howell. The first time i met Jay he hugged me, we had never met, hes just really sweet like that. When hes not drawing characters for Fox’s television show: Bob’s Burger, he can be found eating hot dogs on the beach, not getting tan. Jayhowellart.blogspot.com

Board Tech

Handbuilt in the USA

Every Gnu is handmade by snowboarders with jobs in the USA.

BTX

All terrain rocker placed specifically between your feet where it belongs. Full tip-to-tail edge contact when you stand on your board for all terrain performance. Banana Tech is easy to ride, rips the hardpack and ice, kills the jibs and floats unbelievably. Bananas!

Sintered Base

Compression hardened amorphous UHMW skived from the billet to create the toughest, fastest, best wax holding base material around. Slides best and fastest when waxed regularly to match local snow conditions.

Magne-Traction

“Turns ice into powder”
Serrated edges give great edge hold all over the mountain especially on hard pack and blue ice!

Mervin BA Sustainable Core

MERVIN BA SUSTAINABLE WOODCORE: BIRCH / ASPEN
- Super damp and dense. Solid pop and crud blasting stability at speed.

Wood Core Weirdness!
The world’s fastest growing trees in Gnu’s Altered Genetic forest produced an exceptional harvest of long fibered light weight poppy wood that we call “nature’s fiberglass.” This select crop has been carefully seasoned and built into cores and is the light poppy center of many of our favorite Gnu snowboards. Got any fungus?

True Twin Geometries

Twin (equal length and equal width) tip and tails combined with a centered radial sidecut. Rides equally well in both directions with a focus on freestyle. Park, powder, pipe: perfect.

Bi-Axial Glass

2 way fiber orientation. Engineered to make the difficult easy.
