Gnu, Nike 6.0, One Ball Jay, Northwest Snowboards
Basics: Barrett Christy Cummins / Aquarius
Gnu: Where's home? Where was it before? Barret: Sequim, WA and Gig Harbor, WA. Grew up in Bucks County, PA.
Gnu: If you had an unlimited travel budget, where would you go? Barrett: Around the world to surf and snow destinations by boat, RV, heli, and airplanes when necessary, with stops to visit friends and family. No ghetto accommodations, only the best!
Gnu: What's the weirdest thing you’ve ever done or seen done? Barrett: Making babies.
Gnu: Do make a living off snowboarding? How do you pay the bills? Barrett: It's not exactly off of snowboarding, but I owe it all to snowboarding.
Gnu: What does Gnu mean to you? Barrett: Friends and family. Mervin was my first sponsor, and I am so thankful to have made a career out of riding and working for Mervin. I’m super proud to be a part of Gnu’s history and future.
Gnu: Have you tried the Backdoor yet? Barrett: Yes.
Gnu: Hobbies outside of snowboarding? Barrett: Surfing and enjoying as much unscheduled, unorganized play time with the family as possible.
Gnu: What gets you out of bed in the morning? What inspires you? Barrett: My kids get me out of bed. I’m inspired by their enthusiasm for everything. Good surf gets me out of bed even earlier.
Gnu: Currently listening to? Barrett: The sound of my kids laughing and crying.
Gnu: Currently looking at? Barrett: My computer screen, way too much.
Gnu: Whats next? Barrett: About to take Cannon to a bmx race, his new favorite thing. Looking forward to calling Sequim home and being closer to ocean and mountains.
Gnu: Thanks? Barrett: Family, friends, and to Mervin for always believing in me, and being patient with me. Thanks Pete. Also, Nike for the continued support and for valuing my opinions.
