Kaitlyn Farrington has grown up with Gnu.  We've been with her from her start in Sun Valley to the top of podiums at X Games, Dew Tours and Grand Prix.  She has the unique ability to make every situation fun and easy, and her attitude is contagious.  Kaitlyn can ride anything, don't let her devotion to the pipe fool you.  She can also strap on any board and rip harder than most.  BUT, her favorite board is the B-pro and she uses the C2btx to her advantage every time she drops in.  Kaitlyn is one of the few girls who can spin in all directions, inverted and flat, with style, all while keeping her speed and edgehold in even the ugliest 22ft pipes.  She came out to Sequim, WA, near Canada, and home of the Mervin factory this fall to build her own B-pro board.  She will be riding it with pride this season, watch for her to climb more podiums with her hand-made, by her own hands, in the usa, board!

Gnu: Where's home? Where was it before? Kaitlyn: Salt Lake City is home now, but I am from Sun Valley Idaho.

Gnu: If you had an unlimited travel budget, where would you go? Kaitlyn: I would book one of the around the world tickets and go to 11 different places around the world.

Gnu: What's the weirdest thing you've ever done or seen done? Kaitlyn: When I was little, every year my dad would brand the cows. My sister and I would help him. Our job was to make Rocky Mountain oysters. If you know what I mean, we did the snipping!

Gnu: Do make a living off snowboarding? How do you pay the bills? Kaitlyn: Luckily, I do!

Gnu: What does Gnu mean to you? Kaitlyn: First sponsor. Awesome snowboards!

Gnu: Hobbies outside art snowboarding? Kaitlyn: Scrap-booking, bike riding, surfing, fill-in puzzle books.

Gnu: What gets you out of bed in the morning? What inspires you? Kaitlyn: That no matter where I wake up, the day is what I want to make it!
