Maribeth Swetkoff-Kramer gets around.  She calls June Lake home, but is always on an adventure, whether hiking in her backyard or exploring the mountains in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, or Washington.  She looks at the whole mountain as her park and rides with a confidence that reflects her shred experience.  As a faithful Gnu board tester she puts in time on all the boards. This season the B-pro and B-street came out on top as her go-to boards!

Gnu: Where's home? Where was it before? Maribeth: Home is June Lake, CA. Grew up in Ridgway/Montrose, CO.

Gnu: If you had an unlimited travel budget, where would you go? Maribeth: First, Heli boarding in Alaska and then all around the world to explore cultures, snow and surf.

Gnu: What's the weirdest thing you've ever done or seen done? Maribeth: I saw someone with a silicone implant of a star on their forehead. Weird! Probably not the weirdest thing ever but it's all I could think of at the moment.

Gnu: Do make a living off snowboarding? How do you pay the bills? Maribeth: I make enough to do what I love and travel a little bit in the winter. In the summer I work my butt off running a motel in June Lake to pay the bills.

Gnu: What does Gnu mean to you? Maribeth: GNU/Mervin is like a big family of amazing talented people and snowboarders. They have supported me and my snowboarding for a long time and I've had some great opportunities because of them. Love GNU!

Gnu: Have you tried the Backdoor yet? Maribeth: Yes.

Gnu: Hobbies outside of snowboarding? Maribeth: Skateboarding, trail running, hiking, paddle boarding, yoga, surfing, wake, and getting crafty with different things.

Gnu: What gets you out of bed in the morning? What inspires you? Maribeth: Powder, coffee, or kisses from my pups, but especially powder!

Gnu: Currently listening to? Maribeth: A lot of oldies lately. Gotta love 'em!

Gnu: Currently looking at? Maribeth: My two dogs and my cat all sunbathing on the front porch of the motel.

Gnu: Whats next? Maribeth: More shredding!
