GNU: Wheres home? Wheres was it before?
North beach, San Francisco, California. I was born in Albany, New York.

GNU: Whats your process and how’d you arrive there?
Find an idea, sketch it out, ink the drawing or use it as a rough for a painting or a cutout. Use these ingredients to cook up a piece that tells a narrative story featuring my ever changing cast of characters and symbols.

GNU: Can you tell us a little about the boards graphic you did for gnu?
I like doing graphics for Danny because he has good ideas. All his graphics I have done so far were his ideas and direction, and they were all really fun to draw. Knowing the pro is getting the graphic he wants to ride is really satisfying, and makes my job easier.

GNU: Do you snowboard?
Not too much anymore. I was an instructor at Gore Mountain in high school back in New York. I started snowboarding in 1988, but pretty much stopped when i moved to California in 1994. I went last season for the first time in over 10 years. It was still super fun.

GNU: What gets you out of bed in the morning, what inspires you?
My life, and my job I guess. I have done alot of different jobs in my life, and I am super grateful for all that i have and that this is my job/life. I wake up to get back to work, so i can continue to have this job for a long, long time.

GNU: Currently listening to?
Black Milk, Frank Sinatra, Blockhead, also Wu-radio and Wefunk radio on iTunes.

GNU: Currently looking at?
A bunch of half finished paintings for a show in Portland next month…

GNU: Whats next?
Finish this year long art tour with the last two shows in Portland and Seattle next month. From Seattle I fly to Mexico to speak/teach at a workshop, fly back to Seattle, and then hopefully taking a ferry to Alaska, but I’m not sure about that yet. Return home in August sometime, and start work for my show in NYC next summer, it’s gonna be a big one.

GNU:Thanks?
My gang, the Silly Pink Bunnies, my Mom and Dad, Rick, Jon, Coons, Isabell, Upper Playground, 5024sf Gallery, Josh Liner gallery, and the Mark Moore gallery for all their help an support.
