Baldface is the kind of place that dreams are made of. Conditions for the First Annual Ladies Week were above and beyond anyone’s expectations and it was a dream come true for all the lucky ladies that signed up and showed up. To top off the 3 feet of light, dry pow there was the bonus hang time and shred time with Jamie Anderson. Chill. She is as mellow and fun as she presents herself on camera, and she told Ellen she wanted to go to Baldface to ride pow after the Olympics, so we wanted to make that happen. I wanted to ride pow at Baldface too, so duh.
My intro to snowboarding was in the early 90’s and at that point it was an adolescent male dominated sport. The landscape has changed and it’s a lifestyle, a sport, a culture many of us have grown up with. Snowboarding is an all ages activity and in many ways it keeps me feeling young. This women’s retreat at Baldface is an unreal way to treat yourself. The full package is worth every penny with excellent food, accommodations, and a deep selection of pow boards to demo like the Free Spirit and the Klassy. If you have the means or want to start stashing your extra cash away now, I highly recommend it. Baldface is a magical place and experience, and for 2019, the Second Annual Baldface Ladies Week, the chance to shred with, do yoga with, wine, dine and dance with epic ladies… priceless.
